Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians will be the 5th Match of the league and as soon as we proceed in the tournament, we will have top 4 teams in the points table which will go the next level of the League.
In the early season of the Indian premier league, despite of having big players both the teams didn’t perform up to the mark. But they improved their performance and both the team won the IPL title twice. KKR Won in 2012 and 2014 where MI in 2013 and 2015. Mumbai Indians are the defending champions of this IPL 9 season.
If we look onto the teams, no big changes in the squad of both the teams. Mumbai Indians added 7 new players to their squad this year from the auction. England wicket keeper batsman Jos Buttler and New Zealand player Tim Southee are the highest paid cricketer for MI team from the auction. Where Kolkata Knight riders didn’t spend big amount of money in buying big players from the 2016 Auction, Jaydev Unadkat, John Hastings, Jason Holder are the highest paid player from KKR side. So the teams will be almost same to the last year’s squad of both the team. Rohit Sharma will be the skipper of Mumbai team where Gautam Gambhir will be in lead again for Kolkata.
